How it works

Three things to know

2v2Teams of two
1

Pick your teammate

You choose who you tag with. Sign up as a team of two.

2

Battle the qualifiers

One battle a night for seven nights, Aug 5–11. Best 3 of 5. Nobody gets cut during qualifiers.

3

Win 3, you're in

Three wins gets your team into the division playoff on Aug 12. Then it's win or go home.

Swipe β†’

Step One Β· Tag Team

Choose your partner wisely

You win together and you lose together. Your partner is half your record β€” this is the single biggest decision you'll make in this tournament.

Your partner has to be a Recapture Livestream creator

Both teammates must be active, eligible creators in good standing with Recapture Livestream. If your pick isn't with RL, your team can't be entered.

πŸ“†

Pick someone who shows up

All seven qualifier nights are required, then playoffs on top. If your partner misses one, they're out and you're battling 2v1. Reliability beats follower count every time.

πŸ’Ž

Pick an active room

A smaller room that actually gifts will carry you further than a big room that just watches. Look at what their audience does, not how many there are.

⏰

Pick matching hours

Battles are scheduled nightly in EST. If you two can't reliably go live at the same time, it'll cost you a night you can't get back.

⚑

Pick real chemistry

Tag team energy is contagious. Someone you actually bounce off on camera will pull more out of both rooms than a name on paper.

The Draft Β· Tag Team

Four divisions, four champion teams

You pick your teammate β€” not your division. Your July diamonds decide that, so you're matched against teams your size.

Closer matchups

You face teams at your level. Every night is actually winnable.

More diamonds

Tight battles keep your room locked in and gifting to the last second.

Four ways to the top

Every division crowns its own champion. Four real paths, not one.

The Format Β· Tag Team

Combine. Playoffs. Final Four.

Every division runs its own 7-night combine and playoff. Four champion teams meet. One team takes the title.

Tournament Rules Β· Tag Team

The rulebook

Every battle is 2v2 β€” your pair vs theirs, best 3 of 5. All times are EST.

πŸŒ™

7 Qualifier Nights

One battle a night, Aug 5–11. Best 3 of 5. Get 3 wins to reach the playoffs.

πŸ“…

Show Up Every Night

All seven qualifier nights are required, even after 3 wins. Miss one and you're out.

🏁

Playoffs

Win and advance. Lose and you're done. Still best 3 of 5.

🚫

No-Shows

Automatic ejection. No exceptions.

🀜

One Can Carry

If only one teammate makes it, the battle still runs. It goes 2v1 β€” never 1v1.

πŸ”

Re-Pairing

A no-show is removed from the series. Their teammate may be re-paired if another creator is available.

⏱️

10-Minute Grace

Wait 10 minutes before reporting a no-show. Then refs award the win.

πŸ₯Š

Teams Only

Your pair vs their pair. No extra creators, no supporters, no boxes. Break it and you take the loss.

πŸͺͺ

Partner Must Be RL

Both teammates must be active, eligible Recapture Livestream creators in good standing. No outside creators.

πŸ”’

Teams Are Locked

Once you register, your team is locked for the series. The only exception is a re-pair after a teammate is removed.

πŸ«‚

Win & Lose Together

You win as a team and you lose as a team. Wins and losses are tracked for the pair all series long.

πŸ“Ί

Be Live On Time

Both teammates live and ready at your battle time. Check the Battle Viewer and message your opponents early.

πŸ•“

Time Changes

At least one member from each team has to agree for a time change to count. Then tell the tournament team.

🎽

Refs

Look for the badge. Refs track every win and loss, and their decisions are final.

🀝

Conduct

No vote manipulation, no harassment, no breaking TikTok guidelines. Unsportsmanlike behavior means immediate removal.

πŸ”Š

Hype Your Teammate

Keep it competitive, keep it clean. Tag team means the energy is doubled.

Questions, answered

Who can I pick as my partner?
Any active, eligible Recapture Livestream creator in good standing. They have to be with RL β€” outside creators can't be entered. Beyond that it's your call, so choose wisely: you win and lose as a team, and if your partner no-shows a night they're removed and you battle 2v1.
How do I get into a division?
You don't pick one. You pick your teammate, and we place your team by July diamonds β€” Elite, Premier, Challenger, or Rising. That keeps matchups close and battles winnable.
What if my teammate doesn't show up?
The battle still happens. You go 2v1 rather than forfeit β€” we never run a 1v1 in this series. Your teammate is removed from the series for the no-show, and you may be re-paired with another creator if one is available.
How is 3rd place decided?
Third place goes to the semifinalist team with the most total match wins across the whole tournament.
What do we have to do to get our flights covered?
Win the championship. Both teammates also need to have purchased their Summer Games registration and plane tickets before the finals of the tournament. Get your registration here.
Do I have to buy a Summer Games ticket to compete?
No. You can compete in the Final Stretch on its own. But to be eligible for the prizes you'll need your Summer Games registration purchased before the finals. Grab it here.
Where do I find my battle time and opponent?
Use the Battle Viewer at the bottom of this page. Your daily schedule and opponent are posted on the NLA website and updated daily by 4:00 PM EST so you have time to prepare.
What do I do if I need to change my battle time?
At least one member from each team has to agree to the new time for it to count. Once you've agreed, fill out the Tournament Support Form so the team can track it and keep the schedule organized.
What if there is an issue during my battle?
If you hit a problem β€” technical issues, scoring concerns, an opponent no-show β€” submit the Tournament Support Form so it can be properly reviewed.
Will anyone be watching the battles live?
Yes. A Ref Team member will be in the chat during battles to monitor the match, watch for glitches, and make rulings if something unexpected happens.
What if the battle glitches or disconnects?
The Ref Team is already watching and will step in if a ruling is needed. If the issue continues or needs follow-up, also submit the Tournament Support Form.
Why do I need to use the forms?
Using the forms helps the Recapture team track issues quickly, stay organized, and resolve problems fairly for all creators.
